Spanish Semester Abroad
Spanish immersion courses are considered more effective than standard university courses and during one Bridge Year semester you will complete the equivalent of four university semesters. Due to this and the fact that you will be surrounded by the Spanish language all of the time, you will advance your Spanish abilities very rapidly.
The Bridge Year Programs are located in the two safest Latin American countries, Argentina and Chile. The program is designed so that you may live and study in one or both countries! Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile are different yet both are amazing and safe. Plus you can choose to study in Bariloche, Argentina!
To help you gain new Latin perspectives and to best understand the local culture, we take on the responsibility to coordinate cultural events and travel excursions.
Staying with a local family is the best way to experience the local culture firsthand and to ensure that you will practice the language outside of class on a daily basis. Living with a local family is a vital part of your program and for many it is the most rewarding part of their study abroad experience.
Whether you are traveling or just at home, you will be able to communicate with 500 million people worldwide. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world.
Intercultural Awareness
You will be exposed to many cultures as you live with a host family, participate in a volunteer project and make friends with other international students. Intercultural awareness is a key ingredient to succeed in today's global world.
